Bill Sienkiewicz's Mutants and Moon Knights and Assassins Variant Limited Signed and Numbered Artifact Edition

Script by Frank Miller, Chris Claremont and Doug Moench, art by Bill Sienkiewicz unless noted. Full credits are detailed further in this article. All illustrations are ©Marvel Comics. For a complete list of all books reviewed in this blog, please visit the index page.

Published by IDW in August 2018 (ISBN: 978-1-68405-466-4, 12.5 x 17.3 inches or  31,5 x 44 cm, $150 for 168 pages) this book is printed on thick mat paper and is the limited signed edition with a variant cover (and back cover and probably spine), limited to 175 numbered copies. One of the picture below is for size comparison with the Daredevil Elektra Love and War Omnibus. Content of the limited edition is identical to the regular version.

Second and third of cover feature different illustrations. This limited edition comes with an added opening page with Bill Sienkiewicz signature, and the handwritten numbering (mine is #71/175). This book, referenced as Artifact Edition #9, has been designed by SERBCO! and edited by Scott Dunbier. It does not feature any introduction by the artist. Below there's also a picture displaying the table of contents of the main part of this book.

As it can be clearly seen above, just a few of the original pages  are printed here, hence the "Artifact" line denomination. Some pages have been reduced from the original art.

Here is a very subjective selection of the New Mutants material, including the wraparound setting.

The book ends with Daredevil and More section with bits of the painted Love And War story.

Complementary information:

This is the regular edition cover, as advertised by IDW with different ISBN : 978-1-68405-399-5 (the regular edition features also probably a different spine):
